Accountability Services
Accountability Services ensures that parents, students, educators, and other stakeholders are provided with accurate, quality, and timely data, as well as information at all academic levels regarding Cabarrus County Schools. Now more than ever, school districts are being held accountable for their level of services they provide to their students. By delivering data and information about our school district, CCS ensures that all parties with an interest in our students' education have the research and measurement tools necessary for analysis and assessment of progress. Accountability Services is responsible for three key components of CCS' ongoing educational efforts: 1) performance evaluation as required by state and federal laws; 2) flexibility to adapt and change to new requirements; and 3) delivery of information to the general public and elected officials.

Adequate Yearly Progress
AYP requires school districts to focus on the proficiency of groups of students within each school with a goal of closing achievement gaps and bringing proficiency rates to 100 percent by 2013-2014.
